Catching up

Okay, since everybody that I talk to lately says that they have a personal blog about their lives. I decided to do the same. I thought it might be a good way to keep in contact with family and friends and share what is going on in our lives. We live in a small town in Idaho and I am a stay at home mom  two wonderful(on most days) girls. Hailey,7 and Jayden, 5. My hubby,Jason, travels a lot for work right now and we are hoping that all the traveling will soon come to a end.
In my"spare time" I like to cook,bake,entertain,do crafts,volunteer at the school,and just have fun with life.
Here are some pictures of my girls at the pumpkin patch (first three).
The fourth picture is a picture of my youngest daughter singing in her first Tavaci (performing arts group) performance.
Next is a picture of Hailey(my oldest) singing "God Bless America" at the Veteran's Day Assembly last week. It was a very touching assembly and freedom definitely something we all take for granted. So thank you to all the men and women who have make are freedom possible.
The last three pictures are of my daughters enjoying our first real snow day here in Idaho. Aren't the first snows of the season fun.We had a great day building snowmen, drinking hot cocoa,and making homemade play dough.

Here is our play dough recipe:

Play dough

2 cups flour

3 T cream of tarter

1/2 cup salt

2 cups water

2 T oil

1 T mint extract (optional)

food coloring

Mix all the ingredients together in a large pan. Stir constantly over medium-low heat until the moisture forms a ball. This usually takes about 5 minutes. Knead while it is still hot (this is where I add the different colors). Let it cool completely before storing a an airtight container or Ziploc bag. This DOES NOT need to be refrigerated!
